To contribute to increasing the number of genuine sailors by educating with the right method is my passion that I continue to do with pride. I take pleasure in forming the future of Global Sailing which I had founded with my family and has been on the rise since the day it was founded, in line with its mission and vision.I believe that we, as the Global Sailing Team, should embrace the saying, "If you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem."

Deniz Karamanoğlu, born in Istanbul in 1987, during the 5 year world trip they have spent in their sailboat called Deriska, named after herself, her father’s, mother’s, her 3 year older brother Derin’s names, met sailing and the sea, which then she placed in the center of her life. After the world tour, she returned to Turkey and settled down in Karacasöğüt Village in Gökova with her family and studied in Marmaris during her elementary and middle school years. In 2002, with the founding of Gökova Sailing Club, she started taking instructor duties at age 15, on the courses of Boarding Sailing Summer Camps targeted to children and coaching duties on certain levels for the Gökova Sailing Club’s racing teams.

In 2008, after graduating from University of Exeter: Bachelor of Science with Honors in Exercise and Sports Sciences in England, she returned to Karacasöğüt and started working full-time in Global Sailing and undertook the role of education directorate. She became chairman of the board of Global Sailing Academy in 2013 and of Global Marin A.Ş. in 2020. Moreover, she was Member of the Board and Chairman of the Board of Education of the Turkey Sailing Federation between the years of 2014 and 2018. In 2016, she joined her life with Mahmut Saral, her sons Atlas and Azur coming to the world in 2017 and 2020.
