Karamanoğlu Family completed their world tour and settled in Karacasöğüt in 1993. Haluk and Christina Karamanoğlu, who had the opportunity to temporarily stay in many different places in the world during their 5 years of journey; have realized the absence of facilities and yacht clubs in Turkey, therefore laid the foundation of Global Sailing in 1994.

With the aim of changing the ongoing service concept and providing the global quality and the innovations they have seen, Karamanoğlu Family has launched Global Sailing and opened Marinette, Boutique Hotel and Gallery Restaurant in 2002 after 9 years of preparation. As Haluk & Christina Karamanoğlu also aspired to serve Turkish and Global Sailors, the fact that their kids Deniz and Derin were passing their knowledge and experiences in sailing training into the young ones, prompted them into activating Gökova Sailing Club.

Global Sailing who carried it’s path with increasing quality in both the facility and the service since the very first day; today became an international sailing training center. Global Sailing Academy is also training people of all ages on sailing and navigation in this facility. Global Sailing Marinette opens it’s doors to sailors coming from all over the world, acting as a secure port on the safe waters of Karacasöğüt bay.

Galley Restaurant & Bar serves the delights of both Turkish and World cuisine to its guests, whereas our boutique hotel makes a special accommodation possible for them. With Global Spa & Wellness going into operation, Global Sailing has become a training and vacation facility that is on par with world standards.
